Shakira, Shakira

My co-workers, Prisila and Alejandra and I went to see Shakira's first show in Mexico on tonight- sep 30. It was quite fun, though the hardware wasn't quite as good. She's friendly and said a lot of things, but I couldn't quite understand her, because it was from the big speakers and she's got that columbian accent. I am mostly used to the Mexican accent now.

It's interesting that they let you use cell phone in the concert. So, it is interesting that people in the front all raised their cell to take photos and videos. it was quite a scene for me. She's also got a lane that reached out to the audience and she's just about 3 or 4 feet away from the people. That shows that she's not afraid that she'd get injured by the crazy fans...

Thanks to Alejandra that we were able to stand in the front, right in the front to spot another celebrity here, TV star Ricardo Monteno, or something like that. It was fun, I enjoyed it.

Quesadilla

The quesadilla is quite different here. It's deep fried in oil. So, it got me thinking that the only thing deep fried that the Amercians can accept is Fried Chicken. I could be wrong, of course.
I took my chance on this food stand, instead of a regular restaurant. My Mexican friend, Claudio, ordered cheese to go with it. I ordered plain. (just meat). He got diahrrea. I was fine, fine, fine...
