La vida en México no es tan hermosa o exotica como pensaba. Pero afortunadamente, no me hace daño. No me causa mucha pena o molestación. Me gusta el servicio en la peluquería con los viejos. Sólo cuesta 50 pesos. Me gusta los tacos, también. Me gusta Álvaro Obregón.

Another week

Well, it's Sunday again. Yes, another week. We are approaching 2008 soon. Well, I mean, 2007. Apparently, I am looking forward to 2008. That would be a big turning point in my life. That's when I would become an U.S. citizen. But I will have to go back to the U.S. in 2007. So, that means I can leave Mexico anytime now.

不要要求太多

我的墨西哥經驗實在是不怎麼好. 被黑很多錢不說, 工作一點也沒成就. 如今時間快用完了. 回想起來還是覺得美國的生活品質實在好太多了. 有這樣一個異國經驗也算值得. 不要對這人生要求太多.

帶有大便的髒水倒灌我家

昨天親眼看到水從浴室的兩個出水口倒灌而入, 活生生和恐怖電影裡的情節一模一樣. 非常有驚人效果. 室友又不在. 顧不了那麼多,趕緊去敲鄰居的門求救. 西班牙文隨便亂說. 鄰居的高中生美眉就幫我叫水電工, 並且幫忙排污水. 後來他媽媽也來幫忙, 左一句chinito,要桶子, 右一句chinito, , 要掃把, 再一個chinito 問怎麼發生的, 水從那裡灌進來,... 可憐的我們忙著救家具, 排髒水 ( 帶有大便,衛生紙等的髒水), 麻煩的是...鄰居一用水, 水就從浴室的兩個出水口一直倒灌...等到水電工姍姍來遲. 也是chinito來, chinito去的. 之後公寓的鄰居也來看熱鬧, 大家就chino(或 chinito)來來去去的. 要不紅都非常非常的難. 話說是衛生紙把水管堵塞了. 我馬上就覺得不對勁, 後來又想像也不會丟這麼多進馬桶, 也沒人跟我講衛生紙不能丟馬桶裏. 可能大家也都這麼做,只是住一樓的比較可憐. 我也只好裝無辜. 反正也沒人逼我招.而且也只有我們這戶遭殃, 大家看看就算了, 現在大家都知道chinito住那一戶了...

假設你還不知道chinito是誰, 就是偶... chino原義是中國人, 但拿來統稱亞洲人, Chinito 是Chino 的暱稱. chino 比 japonés, coreano, taiwanés 好叫多了.

Frío Inesperado

Hace muchísimo frío hoy. Es increíble. De repente, el clima cambió de verano a invierno. No me gusta el frío. Pero, ¿qué puedo hacer? No estoy aquí para el frío. Además, creo que no anda muy bién mi experiencia en México. El agua salió del baño y seguió inundando los cuartos y la sala de estar... Holió muy mal y el agua fue muy, muy sucio, pero contenía tapo, papeles y otras cosas. Gracias a Diana, la chica vecina que vino a ayudarme. También a su Mamá. Alex no estaba aquí. Entonces, manejé todo con ellas y el plomero. Me costó 1000 pesos. No pensaba que fue muy caro, pero a mis vecinos sí.

No creo que estoy aquí para eso y otras malas cosas como las cucarachas o el malfuncionando teléfono o el vecino que me engañó por dinero o el dueño del departamento, Sr. Moíses, que ofreció poco y demandió mucho dinero. Pienso que todo no anda muy bién aquí. ¿Qué voy a hacer? Todavía, voy a quedarme aquí por unos meses más para aprender más de la cultura y políticas de México y el español.

Pinche manifestación. ¿Sabes qué? Yo apoyo a más libertad que regulación y conservación. La gente ha sufriedo demasiado por los castigos de religión. Religión debe ser separado de políticas. Los países que mezclan ambos no pueden andar de sus pobreza. Hay que librar la gente de regulaciones religiosas. Afortunamente, yo siempre sigo las políticas del gobierno sino las de religión. A mí, la vida debe ser así.

十一月天的墨西哥 還是繼續充滿春天的氣息 彷彿春天從不曾離去. 這裡的夏天也是微涼.不錯吧.
說是已進入乾季, 雨還是三兩天來報到一次, 看來溫室效應已危害全球..儘管如此, Colima 街還是不錯:

各位看倌, 您知道我住那兒了吧. 從這一段街看得出, 墨西哥對整體的一致性, 做得不是很好. 雖然也不算頂好區, 但可以花小錢就住, 何樂而不為, 陳致中可能花一千萬買了236 號, 但我的房租只有八千. 還不是住同一條街. 我是不介意, 但他可能對有我這等鄰居, 心裡可能很不是滋味. 姑且不管他的錢從那兒來,只能說陳家 "理財"有術. 也思考到在護照上放個正名和一個別名便可以以兩種名字搞, 到中南美洲去買個護照也是個好方法. 我也是以我的別名Jxxxxx L.來幹事的. 鮮少人知道我的護照中文名字的英文拼法. 可惜我對錢看得太輕.話又說回來, 我會勸陳總統一定,千萬不能辭, 只要不被罷免, 別的不說,往後每年高薪的終生俸就泡湯了.

Saying good-bye

I told Victor Ortíz that my job was almost done with Owens Corning. I have checked all the possible suppliers and my remaining days are around 2 weeks. He became softened and started chatted with me a little bit, saying it might be tough sometimes, but we need to see some savings. Sure, of course, who doesn´t. I might not be the best at my line of work, but I'm not a big slopper, either. I know that I always have to work and have very high work ethics. I act professionally. I look professional in the "we did it!" video, even though it's less than 1 second. I forwarded that to my friends, but no one gave a damn, as usual. Hey, it's okay. I always try to get people attention, and people always let me be. hahaha...



It is good to watch Gabriel, Mauricio, Nancy, Miguel and Jorge play.

México Lindo

It's been a while since I last took this picture. it was in June during the world cup 2006. Now it is November. Funny how time flies. I have been in Mexico for almost the entire 2006 and I'm very glad that I have this opportunity to stray for a year in a foreign country. I'm the adventurous type, I guess. Well, but Rolling stone gathers no moss. It is vey true. You win some: you lose some. That's absolutely true. What are we going to do? What should I do next. I don't know yet. I plan to tell Victor that I would like to take off in 2 weeks, as my work for owens corning will be coming to an end soon. I don't want to leave bad taste in their mouth...

十一月的Colima街 (1 of 2)

十一月天的墨西哥 還是充滿春天的氣息. 現在微涼, 但不冷, 清晨最低也低不過12, 13 度.
這是墨西哥市中心的 Zona Roma (羅馬區) 的一條街, 名為 Colima. 這一區的街名全部是以墨西哥各州的州名而定.(隔壁區為 Zona Rosa, 街道名全部皆為國際都市, 如倫敦, 東京, 米蘭, 巴黎, 莫斯科, , 尚無台北,或上海. 現在該區充斥著大量的韓國移民, 就是臉很扁平, 鼻小, 嘴小, 眼睛更小而且分很開的那型, 儘管如此, 也還是沒有首爾街)其他區則有以世界之河流, 文學大師, 名族英雄,世界領導等命名...

Feeling bored

I'm only here in Mexico to kill time until I get my U.S. citizenship, then I'm thinking about coming back to Mexico to start a small business with Patricia or someone else. Before I knew it, I have pretty much spent the entire 2006 here in Mexico. It sure helps shorten the wait to get the citizenship. Mexico government is being unreasonable for not issuing the work visa for me. So, I can not have a bank account here and start establishing my life here. I don't feel welcome here. But I am going to use my TESL degree here to get an FM3 visa when I come back. For now, I will have to quit working for Owens Corning. The job is getting tedious.

Georgina Olivera de Instituto el Jardin de Dante

I waited for quite a while for this woman: Georgina Olivera. Apparently, she forgot my appointment. I really don't like it.

Apparently, Mexican people are not really good at keeping their apoointments.

Later on at 11:28, she sent me a text message to apologize while I was on a bus near Acueducto de Guadalupe on the way to Owens Corning.
"Hola, soy Georgina del Instituto el Jardin de Dante... Te pido una super disculpa por haberte hecho esperar tanto. Me interesa mucho tu curso d mandarin. Te llamo manana a las 12.00. Gracias y mil disculpas otra vez... Atte. Georgina"...

I wrote this message much later than this actual date 2-11'07. I'm busy collecting my payment from her, so I can fund my Marco Antonio Concert Tickets at 2'14'07...
